So yeah, I know what you're probably thinking-"Gee, Toni went really overboard with the yarn buying this week! So much for her stash-busting." I know it seems like a lot. Hell, even I was a little surprised to tally up this weeks' purchases and discover 15 new balls of fuzzy goodness added to my ever-growing stash. But really, I got this yarn at a great price because most of it came in the form of two kits from Knit Picks. One little group, the pastel little gems, came from their "Georgian" sampler. The other little group, the bright little jewels, came with their "Sheldon" kit. The lone hank was purchased for a lovely pair of fingerless gloves that I saw while browsing the Knit Picks patterns. I simply can't resist their yarns. So soft, so colorful, and well, so lovely! I did vow to not purchase any yarn for a couple of weeks while I whittle away at the stash even though I'm absolutely dying to get one of their sock samplers. It will be inevitable that I get a sock sampler soon as I also need to order the needles to do the "Sheldon" project. I mean, c'mon, go to their website, www.knitpicks.com and tell me that you don't see something you like! Go on, I dare you! And no, they are not paying me to say this, I just really like their yarns. A LOT!
In other news, I finished knitting the 70's Poncho last night. All that's left to do is weave in all those ends (grumble grumble) and knit the I-cord tie that goes at the top and it will be 100% complete. Finally. I'm anxious to get it finished because there are a lot of smaller, instantly gratifying projects that I can't wait to get started on.
And with that, I'm off to end this poncho madness!
